Words to live by

Ok, I get it, life is not perfect, and it’s never going to be. There’s always going to be an obstacle, a challenge, a trial, right there waiting just to see how we’re going to let it affect us. Our moods, our future, our happiness, and whether we win or lose, all depends on how we respond to these *things* that jump out in front of us (most times very unexpectedly).

Being the knee-jerk reaction kind of person I am, I need a whole lot of practice in ‘responding vs reacting’. So I’ve made this one of my 2010 goals.

My 2010 song that I will listen to at least one time every day, (and I don’t even care who laughs because I like it, and I need the reminder that it’s the climb, not the mountain, that’s important) . . .

My Mantra, “Imperfectly Perfect”, will remain the same as it has been for the past 3 years, I will just start living it better this year (that’s hard for a Virgo, folks, it really is!).

And my words for the year are “Live, Laugh, Love” because by the end of 2010 I will have learned how to do all 3….the right way.

I’m still busy establishing my 2010 agenda and organizing my goals into a realistic order, but this is the start of it . . .

I think some of you might be surprised to see what all Miss Independent has in mind for the year.

I just hope 2010 can handle it!

Dream Big Dreams, Lots of Them

Some days I think I should delete the daily inspirational quotes from my inbox, because they’re so complex or unreal in my world that they’re more like  spam for my brain than motivating.

Today’s is right nice, though.

I did that when I started this blog. That was a HUGE step for me. I never thought of me being ‘bold’, though, but ok. So, I wonder how long it takes for the genius, power, and magic to arrive?
