Wherever you go, go with all your heart. ~ Confucius
(I ‘stumbled upon’ this photo once and saved it without knowing who to give credit to; so if you know, please share. Thank you)

“Maybe the past is like an anchor holding us back. Maybe, you have to let go of who you were to become who you will be.” ~ Carrie Bradshaw

“For what it’s worth: . . .
. . . it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again. ~ The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Letter to his daughter)
To my children, to my friends, to every one every where, including me. . . ditto what Benjamin Button wrote.
The only thing you can do with life is live it.
A much needed reminder
“Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful and interesting it will be worth remembering.” ~ Ida Scott Taylor
41 and a day
“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years”. ~ Abraham Lincoln
Thanks, friend.
I’m starting my Things-to-do-while-I’m-41 list now.
I wanna be a Cowboy, baby
“We’re all here, man, we’re all sharing the same air. Everyone wants to look at [me] and say, ‘Well, if I had that, I’d really be happy.’ But happiness is really about how you feel yourself and if you’re satisfied with yourself. I wish everybody happiness, man. And fulfillment in life. You don’t need to play football to have that. At least I don’t think that’s what was going though the creator’s mind when we were created. People in Ohio or Texas probably think that,” he adds. “But …” ~ Tom Brady, Details Magazine, September 2009
Sooooo, when you’re a world famous quarterback for a world famous football team, you don’t have to win (at least a few) games to be satisfied?
Oh.
I didn’t know that.
“Life is not living in the suburbs with a white picket fence. That’s not life. Somehow our American culture has made it out that that’s what life needs to be — and that if it’s not that, it’s all screwed up. It’s not. You go through life and you try the best you can.”
Where I come from, it’s a man-made suburb from an old rural town where folks are all about the (invisible) picket fence and which mom can be June Cleaver, Carol Brady, and Super Soccer Mom all wrapped into one …complete with their ever-so-charming but fake Pollyanna smile. Truth be known, behind closed doors, most are the likes of Mommy Dearest.
Back on topic;
Try your best…and you still don’t have to win to be satisfied?
Awesome.
Did I say Cowboy? Because I meant Rock Star.
I wanna be a Rock Star, baby!
“Take a chance. All life is a chance. The man that goes furthest is generally the one willing to do and dare. The “sure thing” boat never gets far from the shore.” ~ Dale Carnegie
And when you’ve taken the chance and you suddenly realize you are stuck in the middle of the ocean doomed to sink or swim, swim you’re ass off. That’s what really makes you stronger, your ‘training’ so to speak . . . for the next big dump in the ocean of life.
I’ve always thought it would be super cool to be a mermaid.
Who Me?

. . . and then he sent this to my email this morning;
Hey stupid, May I suggest following the advice of another wise woman. . .
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. ” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
Love you.
